From an early age, Dr. Ávila demonstrated his vocation and desire to serve others through medicine. He completed his studies to obtain the title of Doctor of Medicine and Surgery, then entered the General Surgery specialty at Hospital General San Juan de Dios to build a solid foundation that would allow him to become a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.

In 2015, he was accepted into the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery subspecialty at the Hospital General de México, earning the only annual position granted per subspecialty to foreign physicians. The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is renowned for its excellence, known as the “cradle of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery in Mexico”, and for the complexity of the cases treated daily. It was founded in the 1960s by the distinguished professor Fernando Ortiz Monasterio. 🇲🇽

Dr. Ávila has accumulated over 15 years of education and experience, acquired through various respected institutions recognized for their excellence and innovation in medical care both in Mexico and Guatemala.
